Session Descriptions
Health and Wellness to Reach Your Full Potential! - Joshua Moore (Room: Y 100) 
Health and wellness go beyond eating nutritious food and exercising. To reach your full potential, be the best you can be, and impact the world around you, first, you must take care of yourself. This session will cover key skills and habits for living a healthy and productive life. "Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live." - Jim Rohn

Regulate yourself, become centered on success! - Elyse Smith (Room: Y 103) 
In this session, you’ll learn how to uncover your gifts and the self regulation tools necessary to make the most of them.  Included will be  seated and moving meditation techniques to get you centered and on your way to success.

Careers in Health Care -Jennifer Maines, Stephanie Fien, Shannon Bajor (Room Y 106)
There will be three healthcare providers who will do a presentation on careers in health care and some hands on demonstrations and visual presentations on health and wellness.  We will each do a brief introduction of our career (Physician Assistant, Nurse and Nurse Practitioner).  Then do a demonstration on checking pulses, educating on reasons to come to the ER, a CPR demonstration and then doing some visual images of x-rays and cases we have seen in the ER.  We will then leave time for Q&A at the end.

Empower yourself beyond bullying! Detective Frank Sabella and Lt. George Chopaek (Room Y 105) 
Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office will facilitate and interactive presentation on bullying awareness, examples of bullying,  definition and participants in bullying incidents, consequences of bullying, impact on victims of bullying, what can be done to address a bullying incident.

The Power of Positivity - Kristen Stewart and Dawn Bell (Room Y 107) 
In this session, Principal Stewart and Assistant Principal Bell from Pitman Middle School will guide you through exercises to remain positive in all situations. Participants will learn techniques to put into their life immediately. Prepare to leave this session on the road to Positive Thinking and Acting!

How your mindset impacts your life - Melissa Smyth (Room Y 108) 
Who determines who you become? You? Your parents? Your teachers? Your community? Together we’ll talk about what your mindset is toward your future and how you can give your brain the hype it needs to succeed.

How fighting fires ignites a community - Christine Tonetta (Room Y 109) 
The program shows students the different opportunities available in the fire service beyond just fighting fires.  It also shows how everyone has a place in the fire service, no matter their strengths (physical and cognitive) and background.  It also touches on other subjects as community service, public speaking, and technology.

Learn to be a Yoga Teacher in 25 Minutes- Kristin Braack and Lisa Braack (Room B 100) 
In this session you will learn basic Yoga poses. In addition, you will then design your own personal Yoga series to teach your parents, teachers and other students!

Stay up to date on Cyber Crimes and Investigation - Officer Rick Kott (Room B 101) 
To bring awareness to the youth about Cyber Awareness, how to protect yourself and the potential consequences of cyber crimes.

Know the Law  - Officer Marc Daigle (Room B 102) 
Law Enforcement  Topics covered include- -To serve and protect and what this really means -Types of careers in Law Enforcement  -Requirements for a career -How do you see Law Enforcement,an open-discussion -teenage police encounters    Survival skills -Situational awareness -Know your surroundings  -Predator myths -Mind set  -Put yourself in position to succeed

Start Planning for College Now! Tim Grussenmeyer (Room B 103) 
Preparing students to start thinking about their future plans for college by talking about the Admissions Process, FAFSA, and scholarships, such as School Counts.

Finding Your Voice and Building Your Confidence To Achieve Greatness! Melanie Anderson (Library) 
In this hands on workshop students will learn basic Public Speaking and Presenting in front of others. You will learn various techniques to show everyone who you are and how you are ready to take on the world.

Financial Success begins now, how you can be a Millionaire - Members First (B 105) 
In this workshop you will learn about how saving at an early age can help you later in life. If you invest properly, you could be a millionaire!!!!
